Jakaan Architects was honoured to be approached by a fellow architect to translate his vision into reality for his family home, a project that went on to win the prestigious 2020 HIA Home Building Award. Collaborating with another architect is a privilege, and this project required precision in delivering a high-end architectural solution while working within the challenging Complying Development Certificate (CDC) framework.
The design incorporated essential spaces such as a prayer room and idol room to accommodate the family's religious icons, central to their cultural and spiritual practices. The client, highly meticulous, placed great emphasis on the interior fixtures, fittings, and architectural construction details, demanding exceptional attention to quality and craftsmanship.
Despite the complexities of working within the CDC framework, Jakaan Architects successfully delivered a luxurious, award-winning residence.
