ANZAC PARADE URBAN DESIGN STUDY

Location Kingsford, NSW
Renders prepared by Jakaan Architects
Jakaan Architects, formerly DDC Architects was engaged to produce a comprehensive Urban Design Report for the potential development of 19-storey apartment building in Kingsford. This strategic report was commissioned to analyse the potential built forms and their impacts on the surrounding urban environment, with a focus on the site’s position within the Randwick Urban Activation Precinct.

Our report included detailed 3D modelling of the proposed built forms, ensuring the design’s contextual fit within the existing urban landscape. The modelling demonstrated the proposed development’s impact on surrounding areas, including site plan analysis, floor plate optimisation, and shadowing studies, ensuring that the project adhered to SEPP 65 Apartment Design Guide for amenity, natural light, and ventilation.

This study was an integral part of assessing the site’s suitability for high-density residential development and was ultimately submitted to the Department of Planning for review. Our report played a vital role in the strategic review of the area’s statutory and development controls, contributing to long-term urban planning considerations.

Through this detailed analysis, Jakaan Architects showcased our ability to deliver urban design solutions that balance densification with maintaining community amenity and contextual integration.
