Jakaan Architects & Cory Webb Design were engaged by a professional couple, including the director of a large quantity surveying firm, to bring their dream home vision to life on a unique, sensitive site located atop a sandstone escarpment with breathtaking westward views over the Blue Mountains National Park. This project posed significant challenges, particularly due to the site’s Flame Zone bushfire rating, which required close collaboration with a bushfire consultant to ensure the design met stringent fire safety requirements while still achieving the client’s vision of a luxurious and harmonious residence.
The design embraces the natural landscape, ensuring the home integrates seamlessly with the land, all while taking full advantage of the stunning views. A key feature of the project is a circular pool that sits dramatically atop the sandstone cliff, creating a striking visual and functional element for the property.
The clients, seeking the highest standards in residential design, required detailed architectural construction drawings and high-end fixtures and finishes throughout.
