RANDWICK HOUSE
Location Randwick, NSW
Project Completion 2019
Project Completion 2019
Jakaan Architects was approached by a builder, impressed with our previous work in the Eastern Suburbs, to collaborate on a full interior renovation of a Federation house in Randwick. The professional couple who owned the home sought to maximize internal sunlight and transform the existing interiors into a bright, contemporary space while preserving the character of the original Federation architecture.
Our design focused on opening up the rear of the house, seamlessly connecting the indoor living areas to the terrace and pool, creating a fluid transition between the interior and exterior spaces. Large windows, natural light, and neutral finishes were incorporated to enhance the sense of openness and airiness throughout the home.
This project highlights Jakaan Architects' expertise in renovating heritage homes, delivering modern, light-filled interiors while respecting the historical integrity of the property. The result is a stunning, sun-drenched home that perfectly meets the lifestyle needs of the clients.
